Rosewill's won't alway's be bad. Last I checked there was two subcontracters that made thier PSUs. One was ok and the other was just damn horrible. Problem is you don't know unitl you open the box.

PSU wattage is more marketing ******** than anything else. Go off of amps and stick to a reliable brand. You are spending so much on a rig yet cheaping out on the msot imporant part.

Actually I found the 2.8 Ghz Dual Core at a store near my house for $170... Prolly gonna get about an $80 mobo.. and the X1600 Pro costs $130 on newegg....... I know its not the best stuff...but its a HUGE difference from what I'm running now....

oops, I mistyped the Vid. card... its an X1600 Pro.... do you think its better than my 9800 Pro??

P.S., I would normally get an ASUS but its hard to find one that fit my specifics...

EDIT: ok WTF! I can't find ANYWHERE if that PSU has a connector for PCI express Cards...... Can anyone verify this? I have no idea what a pci express connnector looks like...

It has a molex to PCIex adapter, but no PCI express on the PSU.

Those two motherboards I posted support all that for $95.

Alright well you won't find any good brands that support all that for under $100.

Stick to stuff Like Forton, Sparkle, Enermax, Antec (Trupower much better than smartpower), and PCP&P (Shouldn't even mention these way out of your pricerange)

Cheaper brands also lie about amps. A good sign for bad PSUs is ****laods of amps on the +5 rail and not nearly as much on the +12. They do this to get their wattage up but +5 doesn't mean **** to you.

Alright well you won't find any good brands that support all that for under $100.

Would you rather ahve a ****ty mobo for $85 or a good one for $130.......

Wow guys, very sorry for the inconvenience.... My dad and I went to a local computer store and he convinced my dad to get an Athlon 3000+ so no worries..... We also got a Biostar mobo that has GeForece 6100 Graphics, he said it was better than my 9800 Pro, is this true?

So you are going to use onboard graphics to try to play games. I'm sorry to tell you but that is way worse than a 9800 pro and won't even play BF2. You need a seperate video card with 6600 GT or x800 GTO/X1600 pro or better to be an upgrade at all. You may as welll have kept your old system.

True if you know nothing about psus. I just got a Topower P6 for less than half the branded price.
