No one knows. Suppose to be release late summer, early fall. Will probably use GDDR4, and will also probably be a DX10 card, who knows.

It will come in the fall and be a first generation DX10 part. Now avaliability might be such that only the $500+ cards are avaliable in the fall, but its too early to say right now... the G80 might even get delayed again who knows.... With vista in Q1 2007 it might happen.

        Re: G80-

they are going to have to releassmany different sets of dx10 cards. because, there are gonna be the people with not so much money, who still want to be able to play the dx10 games. so for example is the dx10 line of card is the 8xxx series, tey are gonna make 8000, 8200, 8600, 8800gtx like that. so the richy riches can get theres as well as the not so richy riches.

The g80 will be nvidia's first dx10 part, and will (finally) support HDR+AA, and angle independant AF. Other than that, I don't know much about it.

DX10 still hasn't been finalized and with Vista being delayed, DX10 final specs will more then be delayed even further. My guess is end of year/next year to see DX10 video cards. How that may effect the G80, I don't know. No real info on it other than some blurbs about Nvidia investing $1/2 billion into it.

There's really no point in releasing a DX10 card before Vista. Microsoft is costing alot of people money with their delays.

It is just a sales gimmick until vista comes out then they will release the 'real' DX10 cards i suppose and make even more money.

First, use punctuation and proper grammer. Second, you are completely and utterly wrong. There is no card out on the market right now that can or will support dx10, as it is a complete rewrite and not an incremental update. The first dx10 cards will not be coming out for a long, long time.

yeah spitf I dont know what the hell you are talking about. there are currently no directx 10 cards, firstly the technology (Dx10) is probably not finished yet, so why would they make the 7 series dx10, it then wouldnt work right when it actualy came out. but yea overall you are wrong sorry.

there us a point releasing dx10 before vista

for example you buy a card a couple of months before vista gets released and pay $500+ youll feel pritty ripped off when in a couple of months vista gets released and the dx10 cards

if you have support ready for dx10 its much better like the 9700 pro did for
dx9 your more "future proof" much like people are buying dual cores even though very few games utilise it yet
