Ram Timings

i just want to know how i can my ram more Mhz bq i runs now on 160Mhz
and it must be 200Mhz i tryd timings but i only reach 175Mhz
if some1 know how i can get 200mhz let me know thx

timings now are:
FSBRAM 4:5
CAS# Latency 2.5 Clocks
RAS# To CAS# Delay 4 Clocks
RAS# Precharge 4 Clocks
Cycle Time 8 Clocks

wait, so you bought pc3200, put it in your computer and its only running at 160mhz? and what do you mean you cant get it to 200? does it crash, reset, die, ? what does it do.

and yeah dont increase voltages unless you know what you're doing or someone leet tells you so.

If you indeed have DDR400 there should just be a bios setting to run at 200mhz. Your celeron is probably running @ 533FSB and is probably defaulting to PC2700 speeds.

Your mobo supports DDR400 and for all I know it should be as easy as a simple bios setting. You will want to run your ram with a different divider, because only 800FSB chips can run 1:1 @ DDR400.

Your processors FSB speed is holding you back. You can only increase the ram speed by overclocking your processor. You should have alot of headroom to play with on the celeron D they overclock well. Your base FSB should be 133mhz and you have a multiplier of 21x. Try slightly increasing your voltage and try a setting like 152mz FSB to get an overclock of 3.2Ghz and a ram speed of 190mhz.

His ram is running at 4:5 which would indicate that he has a FSB of 133 and the motherboard is overclocking his ram compared to the FSB already. I don't think there are any higher dividers.

yea i overclock it 20% whit asus overclock in bios 187Mhz is tops
and voltage are restore thx for the help guys

Try manual overclocking. You can do better than that.

what shoult i set its now at 150FSB and the heat is 67 when bf2 playing

i got a zalman cpu cooler but it wont fit any more
on my asrock it did but on this mobo if put it on it comes to my psu

What kind of heatsink is on the processor now? If it's the stock crappy celeron one then I'd get an aftermarket heatsink before you overclock it any more than the 20%. Thats pretty hot.
