ANOTHER ram problem

As some read in my other thread how my games freeze every once in a while.. if not:

I think what the problem may be is that my RAM is overheating sometimes.. I read some reviews on NewEgg when I bought my MOBO that said the DIMM slots were close together, leaving little room between my heat spreaders on my RAM.

Is this why it may be freezing every once in a while?

so they DO have hat spreaders right?

1. what mobo do you have? post a link (though i just want to see)
2. what timings, voltage and speed is your RAM running at?

though this info could help and IF , and i say IF, it is from this then it may be fixed, but just know that it cant overheat "somtimes" its either too hot or not. and msot mobo DIMM slots are close, so dont worry.

That's not to close, that's average. It probably is voltage.

Going off your other thread, there is something ****ed up with your system.

I would bring all settings back to stock speed, and see how your stability and temps look. Also might want to try reseating your CPU heatsink with a fresh layer of thermal paste, and possibly run your computer with the side door off, to allow more ventalation.

To answer the question your ram could be overheating, and random crashes are a sign of ram overheating.... but with a 69*C CPU and a 70*C GPU something is messed up my friend, and you need to get your temps under control.

Check your bios instead of the windows program, what temps does your bios say you have?

^ usually the windows programs read off the BIOS. I know because my BIOS temp readers are broken (albatron sucks -_-) and same with the windows ones they both read the same. Albatron even made a BIOS update to fix the problem and they STILL didnt fix it, it just got stuck at a different number.

They both read off the sensors. The BIOS disengages once an OS is loaded and the windows apps read the sensors by themselves. Its fairly common for both the bios and a windows app to read different temps because they access the fan and chip sensors via different software etc.... so on and so forth.
