Hey I was attempting any way I could to get my HT at or above 1000mhz. But I couldnt the best I could do stabily was 240htt at a 4x multiplyer. Well, I increased many voltages and got it to 240htt at a 5x multiplier. i got my ram at 2-3-3-6 as well!! I could run prime95 for 5 hours straight perfectly. But when i started gaming I crashed after about 2 minutes and my computer would freeze and I needed to manually restart it. I heard somewhere it can be because of things such as my x-fi card (could explain why the sound stopped and got weird). But is this the case? any suggestions, I lowered the multi back to 4x with the same settings and now its fine. Im guess it IS the sound card because prime ran fine (it doesnt use audio) but my game crashed.
any idea or suggestions on how to keep the HT at 1200mhz and have everything work?
another idea i have is the PSU. both my video cards are OCed, my CPU voltage is at +5% and my chispet is at an extras +.1. During graphical intenseive or CPU intensive situations sometimes it makes a screechine noise. This started happeneing much more when I have my chipset at +.3volts and my ram at +.1 and my HT at 1200mhz. now it doesnt do it so much. could it be my psu?
