I just got my other Stick of Ram today (1 gig, so I'm all excited 
). I turned the computer off and unplugged for about an hour, so once I'm ready to install Iopen up the case bla bla bla, install, plug back in, turn on, and wham! MY computer freezes at the Energy star page thing where it identifies your components, so I restart and then it tell me my processor was running at an incorrect speed, so It put it back to normal (3000mhz's or 3ghz). I was a bit ****ed, so I set back to default settings and then it still wouldn't boot. I took the new stick of ram out and rebooted it again. It booted. So I was like ok, try again. I put it in and continued to get the same errors. I looked in the memory part of my motherboard manual and this is what I get:
Memory:
3 x 184-pin DDR DIMM sockets support up to 3 gb of unbufferred non-ECC DDR memory.
(Note: PC2100/1600 support up to three DIMM's; PC3200 up to 2 DIMM's; 1 GB PC3200/2700 with 32 DDR chips support to 1 DIMM only.)
So I began to think that my MOBO will only support 2 PC3200 DIMM's. Fair enough. I removed one of the 512's (2 X 512 + 1gig). I left the new one gig stick and the old 512 in it and tryed to boot, no success. I then got ****ed. I tryed moving them around to different DIMM's and that didn't work. I said forget it I'll ask you guys. I then replaced back my old ram in the old configuration and booted again with success. I'm here to ask you does this mean I can only have 2 X 512 sticks or 1gig stick?
