audigy live 24-bit, wht is this?

ok, i have a audigy live 24-bit and i opened my comp up today to look around for anything different. well i saw this 4 pin looking thing, i was wondering if tht goes wit the power supply. (i hope u guys noe wht i am talking about). does the 24 need psu support? could tht explain my lag? sound lag?

No it doesn't. Might be a good idea to read the manual for the card. It can be found here,

One question, are you running the game in hardware or software mode? If hardware, that is the problem.
