7900gtx - now bf2 wont load

I just installed a 7900gtxoc. Now BF2 wont get past the splash screen, the screen flicks black then punts me back to the desktop.

I've installed the latest drivers.
I've installed BF2 and patched again.

Any ideas?

fixed - deleted the battlefiled 2 folder in my docs.

its weird i get weird things like that with 7800 gtx i dont understand but after like 10 times i i get in heres a chart what eagames support for video cards its bull need to update there video cards in bf2

do you see 7 series some where nope this only support video cards for bf2 ea needs to update it

the prices on the 7800gtx's are dropping now that the 7900 is out. What would someone think of buying a 7800gtx if I could get it for 400$ or less? it is still a very good card...

Very good card, alot of my clan mates have one and can't praise it enough. I've got the 7800GT and thats fantastic, so the GTX is gonna be amazing!

Very good card, alot of my clan mates have one and can't praise it enough. I've got the 7800GT and thats fantastic, so the GTX is gonna be amazing!

7900gtx oc is it bfg o god that could be it my dad i got a broken 6200 form them and we had to send to them like 2 times for repair and then they gave us a new one but some drivers act wried to them and i fix my problem had old driver form like when the game came out i donwlaod new one so i whould see if you got a bad carded

Why get a 7800GTX for $400 or less when you can get a 7900GT for $300 and smoke a 7800GTX?

If you bought an eVGA 7800GTX then you could likely do the "Step Up" program when there is availability of 7900's. I've seen some posts where people have done that. I bought my pair of 7800's in June, so I don't qualify for the Step Up.

what card did you have before??

how powerfull is youre psu??
does it do it with other games?

oh and if you have reinstalled bf2 ,dont forget to update youre direct x to the newist version.
