Which RAM to buy

Should I go with a single 1 gb or 2 identical 512 mb for dual channel?

I ask because I have 4 slots, so it's not like I need to really worry about room. The 1 gb would leave me more room for the future, but the 512s would be dual channel.
Any ideas? Same price for both options.

umm. I would say dual channel because it goes into 128bit. but, if you get the 1gb stick...then in the future you can get a second 1gb stick and have DC and somewhat better performance.
