my ATI 9200 didnt work and it was above the 8500

The 8500 is actually faster than the 9200/9000, and all the 9200 is is a 9000 with DX9 support. Same thing applies to whoever posted a link to a 5500. All that card is is rebadged and slightly higher clock speeds than a 5200.

If you're not afraid of getting a refurb from Newegg, this card,

Correct except the 9200 does not support DX9 shaders, its the same technology as the 8500/9100/9000

Right. I keep getting it mixed up, the 9000 is 4x and the 9200 is 8x agp (not DX support).

I got a 6600gt, it's not to bad. If you want the best AGP go with the 7800gs.

Requirements should be the same/very similar to BF2. If your computer can handle BF2 it will handle BF2142.

Same engine, just tweaked, similar to BF1942--> BFV

Well I have plenty of money but the point is I am just going to use this for 2-4 years, or maybe less until my brother gets his new comp and I get his.
