Overclock is giving me major BF2 lag!

    Hey,

Am getthing a probleme since my last overclock (currently cpu: 2.2ghz and the Memory: 220mhz) Only bf2 has been lagging like crazy I just go in a game and my cpu usage goes up to 84-88%. But the loadings and everything is going fast (iven when I alt+tab its still very fast) I am almost sure I did something wrong either with my ram or my cpu.(full specs in my sig)

    Need help guy's
    thanks!

check for stability, and then try bringing down the ram some. or try the overclock troubleshooters like add a tiny bit more voltage etc. it also might not even be your overclock. BUT, i do know this, when I oced my CPU, and my ram went up, stuff started lagging more. I suggest bringing down the ram to 200 or less and try again.

this happened to me once, i did a really high gfx overclock, and it was lagging so bad. I was really confused, but it went away when i set it back to default clock settings. My advice would be to just take it down a knotch or return to default.

        How did you overclock it???
Did you use software of did you do it thru the bios?
I did it once with software from windows, and i would hit 3.5 and would reboot, and anything under that the game would lag. But right now im running at 3.8, but i went thru the bios and is been stable that way.

Possible reasons for your problems are Hypertransport speed (should be 4x
when you overclock 220FSB) and memory timings (if they are too tight it
can cause problems). Voltage on RAM can also be a reason. You can use
Prime95 -> Options -> Torture test -> blend to test the stability of CPU
          and RAM.

I was thinking of pullling out all 4 memory sticks then puthing them back?
Will dat to a reset of my memory overclock?
(already tried pulling out the mobo battery didnt change tho)
My memory is currently frequencing at 200.1mhz.... And to overclock it you go in Bios>Cpu config>DRAM>

Is there another way to reset all overclocks done to the computer?

Im thinking that your using the onboard Rj45 for your connection. I had the same problems with an nforce based mobo and a real high overclock. I noticed while playing if i hit tab for my ping rates while playing they were fluctuating all over the place. I didnt have another nic to try so I just backed her down a bit, Im not sure if a pci nic would solve it.

Drop the HTT to 4x and drop your ram to a divider. You have standard no thrills value ram, not the best for overclocking.

Ram on a divider and 4xHTT will give you lots of headroom. You have a great motherboard and CPU, so you can easily hit 2.4-2.7+ ghz

Am not looking to overclocking right now I just want to have everything reseted and that everything runs properly. ( before when I didnt iven overclock everything was right and running A1) This is very weird only BF2 is doing this.

Your bios should have an option to load optimised settings or something like it, or reset all settings try that. i know your FSB should be at 200 if you use DDR 400. I dont know much about AMD OC'ing
