    Better hard drive performance

would hard drive performance be better if there was less on it?

basically, if i put more of my files from my master and toss them on my slave, will my master run a bit better (master is where both windows and bf2 are installed).

Neglegable difference, just make sure its defragged. There needs to be enough space for a windows swap file, but for instance... 1/3 full vs 2/3 full not going to be a difference. If its your only drive and its 98% full your going to have swap file issues, but usually windows gives you errors and reminds you to clean house before you run out.

i dunno, a less full hard drive is going to perform a lil better, it simply has less consumed sectors to search for data.

The difference isnt going to be reflected in gaming or anything.....but searching for basic files, especially ones that you havnt used in a long time, can be a hinderance if the drive is really filled up.

defragging does make things a bit nicer though.
