Will this laptop work?

Curiouse will this Compaq V2000Z work running bf2 on low/med here are the specs as im upgrading it from the site

# – AMD Sempron(TM) 3300+ (2.0GHz/128KB L2 Cache)
# – 14.0 WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x768)
# – ATI RADEON(R) XPRESS 200M w/productivity ports
# – 1.0GB DDR SDRAM (2x512MB)
# – 40 GB 4200 RPM Hard Drive
# – DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive

if you need any specs plz post here and tell me which ones :) just wondering as its relativley cheap and seems good.


and heres the V5000Z

ummm.it will be, but BARELY I mean like, low settings with like 5 FPS. I wouldnt get it for Bf2.

interesting very interesting may i ask what part of it would need to be updated to play higher fps?

well first, the graphics card should be much better. and if you can afford it after the GFX upgrade, the processer could be a little better.

and maybe a lil more HD space.

well then i might just have to get the Dell 6000 i guess. it has x300 which is compatible of playing bf2. Oh well dell was my last option for something under 1 grand. was kinda hoping the v5000z would work but its not under the compatibilty list. oh wells :) ty

modern gaming is dependent on the video card. Both those systems will play BF2... but the latter will play it much better, and if you want to play with smoother performance and eyecandy you will need a better card.

all i want to play is with like 25-40 fps. so i think dell will work?

it should with an x300 at low settings. best guess it 25-40 fps sounds right.

and you say the x200m will get 5 fps? if so then i jsut get the dell. so how many hours before crashing? lol i owuld assume like 1 or 2 right?

arm someone who has the x200 different comp though says theyve gotten same fps as x300. I think ill just go ahead wtih the compaq take my chances with it if it doesnt work meh. ill still need the laptop

it shouldnt crash unless there is a problem. BTW< getting the x300 would also benefit in other games, though it would still suck, the performance is high above the 200m.

I have the compaq v2000z. I get about 20-30 fps on small 16-player maps, and about 15fps on wake island. I would reccomend the laptop that has Hypermemory.
