    which laptop is good?

first off, i know i've seen a post relative to this before but i searched the forums and couldn't find anything.

alright, so i'm getting into the market for a laptop and i'm not sure what to get. i could spend a few hours going to a ton of different sites but i figured someone on here would probably have a good suggestion. my budget's pretty low but i also want a good pc. what should i get?

    I have a ZD8000 HP laptop

    Pentium 2.8 processor
    1 gig of ram
    60 gig 7200 rpm hardrive

im not sure on the rest of the specs but it runs bf2 nicely enough on medium graphics with no aa. it cost me about 1700 after tax and shipping.

WHATEVER YOU DO DONT GET A DELL!!!

thanks. those specs look a lot like what i'm looking for. the dell part was sort of a given though.

just a couple of things, definately get a better processor and 2 gigs of ram, cause my older brother has the exact same laptop as me but with better processor and 2 gigs of ram and his runs much better than mine does.

well if youre not in it for gaming, you might wanna consider a different laptop, maybe a little less expensive. this laptop only gets about an hour of battery time, so if thsi is like a work computer or whatever youre gonna have to keep it plugged in to do most things
