I can tell you right now, every factory overclocked XFX card has to be underclocked to avoid hard crashes. Already have heard of several problems with their 7900GT's being overclocked. Don't fall for their scam, they up the clocks, sell you the card for more, the card crashes, you underclock back to stock, they keep the difference.

Simply buy a stock 7900GTX and overclock it yourself when coolbits or rivatuner lets you. Manufacturer's warranties say they dont cover overclocked cards but unless you tell them you've overclocked it there is no way of their RMA staff knowing the difference.

No there is no way they will know if your card is messed up from overclocking. People do it all the time. Nvidia puts overclocking into their drivers with a simple registry hack, I think its only appropriate to use it and RMA it if their cards can't handle it.

Seriously don't get the XFX one because they make crap cards, mine wouldn't work at the stock overclock from the factory until I volt modded the card... even now it barely keeps up with other brands that don't have any volt mods.
