I did, still 15-20 FPS. And I know this is not normal. i dont expect my old 9200 to run better than this new one.

idk... What needs to be installed? I installed from disc, then upgraded the drivers and didnt work. Then I unstalled and just put the lastest drivers on(didnt use disc installation). It cant even get past 30.

Depends on the motherboard, It could be VIA or Nvidia...

You will need the VIA 4 in 1 Driver if you have via chipset :)

As for nforce (nvidia) i have no idea :hmm:

What motherboard do you have? Its easier to direct you to the drivers once we know what you have.

Could be, Nvidia, ATI, SiS, Intel, Via, Ali as your chipset.

Use Driver Cleaner to completely get rid of all traces of ATI drivers, sometimes the remanents can cause this kind of performance loss. Once you are clean and rebooted. Use the latest Nvidia drivers.

And while you're deleting things, go here,

                  C:\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

and delete everything you find in the cache folder (not the cache folder itself).

could be a chipset problem. when i first got my agp 6600gt, i was getting crap performance as well in CS:Source...then i realized that the card wasnt even being seen as AGP8x in the nvidia display properties.

spent a few months googling around, and finally found out that nvidia products have compatibility problems with SiS mobo chipsets....and yes, thats exactly what i had. i got a new board adn it worked much better.

if you do need a new board...any that DOESNT have a SiS chipset..lol. mine has an intel chipset, works fine.
