Laptop or improvements

I have a bit of a dilemma. After the summer holidays I'm off for some education from home. It's only allowed to use the internet for studying purpasses only, so not much in bringing my hightech computer, case or display.

Should I buy a laptop, which I can take with me. Instead of the stationary one. Or should I make my stationary more "not hightech" and more normal. So people don't think I'm such a big geek, which I'm not. This is a football/soccer alike education. :p

Hehe, I'm leaving home to study elsewhere. Well, they will, just without internet. But I don't want to sit and play BF2 while there is tons of new people to get to know. :)

Ok, i get you now. I woud say laptop, you can get some realy good ones. I dont know any sites for the EU that have good laptops, but to get some general pricings try...

www.dell.co.uk (or with the denmark ending, im not sure what that is)
www.sony.co.uk (sony vaio's are very cool)

Just try some major brands to get a feeel for prices and google for some smaller local guys.
