i just got another gig and now my computer totaly pwns! at first if i wanted a good fps i had it set on medium setting, now that i got 2gigs i can run it on the highest resolution, highes settings, x16AA+anisotropic with an average of 50-70 fps. load times, when i had 1gig i used to go watch tv while the map load, now i can count my fingers it loads so fast. now that i got 2gigs i dont have to rock out to the oh so reppetive theme song 10minitz atfer i just quit out of bf2. just wanted to let u guys now if ur pondering on wheter to get 2gigs or not, its totaly worth it,

yes, this has been said many times, for high settings go with two gigs. wrong forum section too.

Ram makes a huge diffrence. I used to just have 512 then I got a gig and now i have 1.5 gigs and it just owns everything. Now just do actually get a real processor and graphics

I also am getting 2 gigs RAM, but i have to wait for 16 days til I get everything, including my ram..

I also bought 2 gigs and I can play on all high with no lag, and load maps in 15 seconds amazing!!:)

i did that on 1 gig aswell lol, i got 2 gigs now and it hardly increased 1 or 5 seconds, the key is you DONT need 2 gigs, really you dont i cant say it plays the same or worse but it's not really a must have... ok 2 gigs run smoother but not that you say : WOW< i got a new computer !!! so for all the ppl with 1 gigs, just keep your hdd and pagefile clean and you'll be fine on high settings..

I am thinking about getting 2 gigs dual channeled along with my double 512... after that and a processor uprage my computer will be the ultimate gaming machine

You spam that crap on every RAM thread. Countless people praise 2GB when upgrading from 1GB and you're calling the liars about the difference in playability. Load times drastically drop and lag disappears when on max vid settings. We aren't stupid. We know what we see.

On my computer, everything on high, the game uses between 1.3 to 1.7 gigs of memory depending on map size and location. So yes the game will run smooth with two gigs
