    LOUD pc

    my pc is so friggin loud. i think its the stock intel cpu fan...i turned off all 4 of my case fans for a minute to see if it was those, and its not.

    anyone know a GOOD and QUIET socket 478 fan? *sigh*

    arctic silencers are always pretty ****ing silent... either that or coolermaster i believe zalman cpu coolers are pretty loud but i dont have a clue... my zalman vga doesnt make a noise though....

          Do you have a TAC case? (The one with vents on the side above the CPU and PCI cards.) Switching to a case without the vents will significantly lower noise as the sound does not travel towards you. Try a Zalman CPU HSF.

            Artic Silencer's are quite and very very good, I recommend those as a heatsink.

            as for the guy who said liquid or pahse change, phase change costs around 800$ and is not for silence, it is for intense heat control, like overclock to 5ghz and stuff.

                      Do you even have phase change? Anyways, insulation also works...if you have a good cooler

                        HAHA I have the same problem. Sometimes my PC sounds like a jumbo jet preparing for takeoff:laugh:
