Well I got ****ed.

I went to try soem more overclocking.

I put itat 250X10 and it wouldnt even start. So i cleared the CMOS and it came back up stock. I put it at 2.48 and it crashed at windows boot. So i changed it back to what i had it at 2420. Ill leave it here.

Whats ****ing me off now is my 120day trial of Windows XP Pro has somehow already expired and i installed it february....how the **** does that work? :evil: :evil:

Figured out why my trial is expired.

When i reset the BIOS it went to January 1st 2005. :laugh:

Well im not goin to listen to people who cant spell

anyway, since my system clock reset it fuxxored my XP trial. I set the system clock back to normal and fixed the bootcfg for the XP installation and it still says the trial is expired.

Does anyone know of anything else i can do?

Oh i fixed the MBR too. didnt help.

Im on windows 2000 pro SP4 right now. Which is fine.

My XP Trial was for school and i still need it to do labs....now im screwed bad.

i use windows based software to oc my mobo! works a treat, got different modes from default, normal, cool 'n quiet and turbo, and you can manually change it to whatever you want and if you get it wrong and oc it to much it shuts the pc down and reboots back to default with out any damage! but can still change it in the bios if i want!

That is the worst way you can overclock. You have very little control and will not get very far overclocking within windows. Just stick to using the BIOS.

What kind of cooling are you using? I have the same processor as you but I haven't messed with overclocking. So I am running at stock speeds with the stock coolor. Unfortunately its not one of those new stock heatpipe coolors.
