I use these and am totally satisfied with them. For 40 bucks I haven't really come across much better. Although those senheiser's look pretty nice too. http://www.alteclansing.com/product_...asp?pID=AHS515Comment

Re: head sets?
depends on what you want, i prefer just having a mic on my head, and everything else coming through my klipsch 5.1s
i have a (AND SWEAR BY) Labtec LVA-7330 all it is is a SIMPLE over the head microphone, NO FRILLS.
it plugs into the ministereo microphone jack on the back of your sound card. it has worked FLAWLESS for me for years. i got worried that it may go out of circulation, so i bought two more that i have in the closet for the day when this one finally fails.
the cost
1 i paid 7 dollars for
the two i bought as backups, i found on a website for 2.99 each USD.

Re: head sets?
I went to wal-mart and bought the cheapest ones that they sell. Logitec I think. They work fine for me. I just want to hear all the sounds and dont care about 5.1 dolby or whatever. Later I might find a great pair I would have to have but not now. I spent my money on a better mouse and joystick (money well spent I might add). Ive been looking at adding a larger monitor too. 27 inch LCD maybe, that would be nice. . . . . . . .RedComment

I got the same ones, and I wear glasses. These are the first ones I've found that are comfortable. I love this set. I even got the 1 year warranty on them just in case.Originally posted by ImgSunscreenI use these and am totally satisfied with them. For 40 bucks I haven't really come across much better. Re: head sets?
I agree with serialbutcher. Sennheiser's are excellent. I have two pair, just in case. Never heard such booming bass, and the microphone's fidelity is near perfect.Comment

Re: head sets?
You can't go wrong with the Sennheiser PC 135 if you don't want full cups. Comfortable, and the sound quality is amazing. When are in the middle of a firefight and have arty raining down around you you'll think you're really there.

I have a pair of Zalman 5.1. I love them. Bf2 sounds great on these. I can hear a tank/apc/chopper/plane from miles away, and I can tell what direction they are comming from so it gives me a bit of time to cover before getting ripped apart.

Re: head sets?
I have tried a couple. Logitec makes a decent set. I tried the ones for gaming and they're o.k. I tried the ones that just wrap around the outer ear and not over the top of the head and they are uncomfortable. Especially since I wear glasses to play. A buddy reccommended the Turtle Beach 5.1's but not only were they expensive but VERY uncomfortable. Sent them back despite the restocking fee hit.
just ordered some Logitec's again due to the inexpensive price. We shall see whether or not they are any good here shortly.
SerialButcher, I'd like to hear more on the comfort of those Seinnheisers. They are adjustable, right? Meaning, they move in and out on the headband to allow for adjustment to fit the head/ear dimensions.
Do they fit all the way over the ear or do they rest on the ear?Comment

Do they fit ON the ear or completely OVER/AROUND the ear? I hate when they sit on the outer ear and end up pinching.Comment
