i have only 2 speaker ports (well from what i can see) but from what i know there should be more ports is this true?

It should work. Make sure there are an "orange, green, and black" connectors on the motherboard for Sound.

I believe you need to have the black one.. I've only setup one pair on one computer, so I'm not exactly sure. But, the black one, I assume, is required.

You can pick up a soundcard that will work for $10 on newegg. sound is still great.

This is a classic case of RTFM. But being the nice guy I am I downloaded it from MSI just for you (MSI and their complete crap download servers that is, 12 minutes for a 6.5 mb file on 6 mb down connection).

Anyway, assuming you still have the manual, and if not you can download it from here,

go to page A-7 (Appendix A) and it quite clearly shows how to connect 5.1 speakers, and what settings to use in the AC97 Configuration Utility.

                      This one, http://download.msi.com.tw/support/m.../E7093v1.6.zip

                      Or to make it easier,

I thought it was rather self-explanatory. Starting from top to bottom,

                      Rear speaker out
                      Front speaker out
                      Center/Subwoofer speaker out

don't think that it should matter that the picture in the manual is in black and white. And you select the speaker configuration from the radio buttons on the left. Of course that also requires installing the software that comes with the drivers.
