    Is it possible to use RAM as VRAM with a PCI-E card

    Is it possible to use RAM as video memory with a PCI-E card, to help with things like textures etc. I have a X300SE 128MB

    If your card support the feature. Some of the low end nvidia and ATI cards have that support. Check your documentation.

    It depends if your card is specifically a hypermemory card, if it isnt it wont use system memory. Being that yours has 128Mb of onboard memory, I doubt its a hypermemory card and even if it was, your wouldnt want to use the hyper memory anyways.

        Because it's slow, takes your memory that would normally be used for windows and is really, really sloooowwwww.
