Hello i am just about to buy my bf2 graphics card but i still dont know what one to go for, the gto2 is £130 and the x850xt is £198.00 max i can spend is 200 is there anything better that thoses two card's or which one is the one to have ?

I assume you are on pci express, I don't think any GTO2 were ever made for AGP. If that is the case look here:

lol what's funny though, i bought my card for like emmm 280 euro's including tax and sending it to me... now the same company i bought it from 2 month's ago is selling it for 500 EUROs, da **** ? Sooooo...
just needed to tell as many people that ^^ anyways go for that 7800 gt it owns and it's a real bargain for that kind of money...Comment

okay hahaha let me let you in on a little secret. The GTO2 (and only the 2, not the 1) uses the same chip as the x850. If you purchase the GTO2, you can unlock the locked pipelines and OC it somewhat to perform basically the same as the x850 which costs much much more. Trust me, its not that hard to do and will save you a lot of money.Comment

a 7800gt is better yes, but I do not know the exact conversion.
A 7800GT IS 300$ on newegg
a GTO2 is 170$. (sorry for using american dollars & newegg)
I think a 7800gt is better, but the 130$ difference might not be worth it, its opinion i guess.Comment

:) at last ive got me my gto2, it's a dam good card only cost £116, was allready unlocked to 16 pipes it's on 550 core 590 memory, if any of you want one ave a look here www.advancetec.co.uk run's bf2 all on high around 70fps ionly got 1 gig of ram so i run most on medium get 90+, now just got to get myself on line'Comment

I got the GTO2 and have succesfully flashed the BIOS so now its an X850 XTPE @ 540/590
And have clocked it from that BIOS. Got it running stable at 580/594.
Which is nearly a 50% increase on the core, over the stock GTO2 bios of 400/490
Go for the GTO2, its the best card i've ever owned. It has the same R480 core that the X850XTPE uses. Its just underclocked in the factory.
If you get one with the 16 pipes enabled out of the box, then all you need is to flash it to an X850XTPE.

yeah my card came with 16 pipes unlocked it clock's to 550/590mem but has the 8000xl bios i was thinking do i flash it to an x850 but i dont know if it will add any preformance to it anyone know if it will ?
