edit nvm... looked at xbitlabs's review and it only outperforms the 7800gt in a couple of cases

its like going from amd 3200 to a amd 3500 your not gonna see any visible diffrence unless you look real close

because it performs the same (probably better now, 6.2's helped performance ALOT) but it has better image quality.

The 7800GT outperformes the X1800XL in BF2 bigtime, and in most games the 7800GT is faster. So I wouldn't swap. I would wait for a better card.

You are actually thinking about upgrading FROM the 7800?????? You guys are sick, I'm thinking about buying a 6600, I mean for christ sake, $1000+ for a video card is quite expensive IMO.

The 6600 is just around $400-500 though.

I would swap cause i read this magazine (atomic) that the x1800 is better than the 7800 GTX in 3Dmarks, HL2, Farcry and doom 3 (thats all they tested) by atleast 500 points.. but i wouldnt swap with that guy.. you never know what he might of done to it.

eVGA's step up program :) That would be so cool if the 7900gt really is only $300... I wouldn't have to pay anything to get it :)

Not in the US, you can find a 7800GT for like 270 or so.
