The top computer looks fine and much faster than the second, though I would pick up a SATA hard drive. For a SFF the SATA will be a blessing, better airflow and fewer wires.
For a cheap SFF you have done a great job, not my first choice for a gaming system, but if you need a SFF and it needs to be cheap, I have no real objections.

to start off with, go for s939 and PCI e... second off al, try to invest more money in the gfx.. like a 7800 gt or x850 xt or up... because you'll be upgrading as soon as you get the pc home if you buy a 170 $ one.... well that's a bit extreme but you get the point...
