New motherboard ?

right now i have a p4 2.5 ghz w/1 gig or ram, and 6800 for vid card, and 450 watt power supply. I'm curious to what kind of motherboard, and cpu processor should I get. Also I have AGP don't feel like buying a new graphics card that is pci just yet. I don't know a lot about computer, but I know enough to change the stuff out myself. I was also wondering if it is good to get an external hard drive, and put all my bf2 stuff on that, and only that. Would it help?

If you are referring to moving from Intel to AMD here is a great solution.

What type of ram does your old compouter use? SDRAM? RDRAM? DDR RAM?
