It is possible to use my laptop as my desktops monitor? The reason is right now im on some 15 year old monitor that is crap:) and my laptop is a 17inch widescreen

Your 17 widescreen will still only appear as a 15 inch even if you could run your vga through the laptop. Unless you adjust the resolution to stretch the screen to 17 inches. You might as well go buy a cheap 17 inch crt. -

You can't. Not without special equipment. A regular TV tuner won't work for VGA.Comment
