FS-v7 zalman in combination with PCI slot cooler

Ok guys, i dont really have a problem more sort of a question

The people who have this cooler (zalman fs-v7) on their GPU's know that the fan blows the air through the copper fins. The problem is that it blows the hot air against the side of my case. Could a pci slot cooler solve this problem by sucking that air out ? or will this disturb the airflow of my gpu cooler ?

The Zalman is good in theory but hasn't been achieving any better than the slot cooler designs because it is basically blowing hot air against the card and not out of the case. You will get the same performance from a slot cooler even though the Zalman is a better design. I'd say keep which ever you happen to have.

hold on i lost you there :P by slot cooler you mean the stock coolign ? i removed that and i now have the zalman but i was thinking of buy a slot cooler, you know that thing you stick on a pci slot and sucks out hot air ??

Ok well it's basically the same thing. I thought you were saying a slot cooler like the ATI silencer 5. Is your Zalman set up to suck or blow?

lol it sucks nor blows, it owns !!! :P lol takes 15 C off of my stock under load. anyways the zalman blows the air to the side of the case, you know the card is placed horizontally and the zalman blows to the left side of the case, away from the motherboard to the other side of the case, so i was thinking to get this pci slot cooler, to put it one or two slots beneath the zalman zo it could get the hot air away from the side of the case, but i'm worried it will disturb the airflow of the zalman and make it even worse...

PCI slot cooler is cheap as chips. Buy it. Try it. If it doesn't work howk' it out. I use an Arctic cooler silencer. Took 10 C off my GPU idiling (never actually checked it under load). It blows the air right out of the case through the supplied vented PCI slot cover. It therefore takes up two slots so denies access to the pci slot next to the video slot. Good trade off though.

yeh they are cheap, but i just spent 200 euros on ram yesterday so i'm kinda worried i'm spending too much money on my pc

Don't get started on it man, because it becomes an addiction. Get the slot cooler though it's worth a shot.
