I finally had to get a new mouse since my old junky microsoft optical one broke into pieces. And i must say that this mouse is absolute awsome with all the buttons and the light weight design and all. Also the change the DPI on the fly is the best feature of them all. You can really spin around easier in a tank now by making the mouse more sensetive, and then change it back to a more tighter fell while on the ground.

I must say, I love mine too. Middle mouse is set to prone, back is set to the 3rd slot (primary weapon), and forward is set as the parachute. But now all the generic mouses feel uncofortable to me :)

I've used the MX 5xx series since it came out. I've owned the MX500, 510, and 518. I think these mice have the best feel and button layout.

Yeah, it's not fun having a genaric 3 button mouse. I have some cheap Dynex optical, which isn't too bad I guess..

Once I get the money, I'm buyin one of those.

i couldnt live without mine either - although rather than set the DPI with the mouse buttons i just increased the sensitivity when in a tank as opposed to when on the ground. sometimes you just have to bail from a vehicle much too fast to worry about clicking dpi buttons.

i have the middle mouse (mousewheel) set to reload, and the two left thumb buttons set to C4/Supply/Medikit/ATmine and Defibrillator/Wrench. works great that way, the other weapons i can switch to on the keypad but i need the revive and medkit handy in a split second.
Jump is keypad 0, ctrl is prone, and my other weapons are the low keypad numbers so i can switch them with my pinkie. i usually have ctrl mapped to crouch, but with prone in this game giving such huge bonuses i dont even really use crouch anymore.

i have an MX510 as well, and while that was a great mouse too the 518 is an excellent improvement. i had a razer diamondback but it was replaced by both of these mice.

mine rocks as well. I do somewhat better in gaming and its very comfy, and I like theh buttons and everything! A great buy!

futureshop or bestbuy or whatever had a deal on these, they were like 60% off at around $29.99 canadian... otherwise i probably wouldnt have bought another $70 mouse to replace my logitech mx510. i should have bought more of them for gifts.

its always a good idea to keep an eye on bestbuy's webpage - usually their prices arent that great but when they put something like this on sale its usually more than 1/2 off.

-the wire is wayyy too short
-2nd of all its a pretty heavy mouse if you play some fast FPS games you gonna realise it very quickly.. But after that this mouse is the best mouse out there i never iven pass 800DPI thats already way too much for me.

Thats true the USB cable is a little short almost could not get it around my desk to the back of the computer.

LOL yea i spent over 50$ for my mouse with 2day shipping in which i did not get untill monday the next week, i decided to never go with UPS again.

I have the MX518 as well, absolute beauty. My first laser mouse as well.

I have forward set to F10 view, and back set to F9 view. Easy removal of cockpit when in a chopper, and you can easily switch to F10 in a vehicle.
