HELP! Viruses, trojans, my comp infected....

i just logged on after my sis went on to find that everything runs like crap, especially my internet, about 5 times slower........downloads won't start.......
pls help...i need some programs that would get rid of the stuff not just tell me it's there.....

Do a google search for a program called "Spyware Sweeper". That one is usually pretty good. Usually the best thing to do is restore your computer to an earlier date and then run the spyware sweeper and it will clean up everything. If that doesn't work, a reformat will always do the trick...

i ried going back to a restore point but it wouldn't work.....o and spyware docter just ells me there is a lot of spyware on my comp and tells me to pay to remove them

if you happen to have comcast's internet you can download McAfee for free. Other internet providers might havea similiar deal so you might want to check that out.

MS' Antispyware Beta, Spybot Search & Destroy, trend micro has a free online virus scan service. Try some of those.

try getting a firewall and virus scanner. ZoneAlarm and Norton are the best IMO.

Norton used to be good, but it's far too bloated and slow for a gaming machine. I like Trend Micro's Pc-Cillin myself, it's small, fast, and is an excellent av program.

if you have road runner you should have the Ez Armor Suite, because it comes free with Road Runner (at least in Texas it does).

It comes with a version of the Zone Alarm firewall (this is one is a licensed version), Anti virus, and adware remover.

I know you have fixed it, but I found Microsoft has an "Online free virus/trojan/adaware scanner" that you can use

It took a while, but i was bored and trying to see if it would find anything that my other programs didnt... It did not. But like I said. it is free and another option for someone who may be looking
