Dont know if its been said but a stock graphics card is pretty much not going to be a problem when it comes to overheating. Even if you OC you shouldnt *need* 3rd part coolers or exotic cooling solution, besides ocing the graphics cardis one of those +5 FPS at most type jobs. Its nify and makes system specs seem impressive, but in the real world OCing a GPU adds very little and its almost worth just staying stock.

I wouldnt worry about the temps on a graphics card, they rarely overheat unless you have zero airflow or the fan dies.

hmmmm wat im tryen to say is that instead of an actual window it is a ventalated cover wit small holes in it so that air can come thru but nothen else it traps a lot of dust.

I would still prefer a side fan on the side (with a filter of course, but my side fan already has that). A side fan if placed right can blow cold air RIGHT into the CPU HSF, or if it's placed lower down, it can blow cool air to the graphics card HSF.

well wit some velcro i was able to sit a 120 mm fan on the bottom of the case so it blows on both cards and gpus directly works perfectly for me u can still feel it pullen air from the side and both cards idle at 45C 10 degreez cooler then before. i tried to have that and put a another fan over the cpu but it didnt help one bit

I am definetly considering this phase change unit. I would really like to see what this opty can do at -60c. I've always been interested in extreme cooling, but the cost wasn't worth the benefit imo.

Well, to get back OT, I played BF2 all day yesterday for about 10 hours straight (with a 1 hour break for Battlestar Galatica and pizza) and never experienced GPU temps higher than 82 and CPU temps higher than 42. No artifacts, no slowdowns, no CTDs.

And that was with my CPU and GPU overclocked and with stock cooling.

A64 3000+ @ 2.2 GHz
6800GT AGP @ 380/1100

She has her hobby. I have mine.

I'm actually quite pleased with the performance of my PC now with the overclocking in place...the only time I really get bad graphics lag is inside the structure located at the Oil Cisterns in Daquing Oilfields (and whenever that building is used in other maps)...similar to the temple in BFV.
