it would definitely create a lot of air flow to get it colder than room temp, and add hardware that is generating a pretty fair amount of heat, I'd deem it high unlikely, but still somewhat feasible.

No not feasible, you are bringing in air from outside the case that is X degrees celsius and pushing it into a warmer area, and then exhausting it out the back. It does not get colder as it makes the trip inside the case.

Still doesnt change anything, you cannot have a temp difference from outside (cool air) to inside (colder).

Guys what we are saying isn't arguable. Any air and even water cooled (excluding chilled), components inside your PC can not be colder than ambient temperature. It is scientifically impossible.

Well, a vapor phase change will do the job. But then again, that's the be-all-end-all of cooling CPUs, it gets them down to like 0C on load when insanely overclocked. Then again, vapor phase changes cost around 700-1000 bucks a piece, so they don't come cheap.

Hey Hey Hey, ur forgetting about a Vapor Phase Change, if u have one, u can make ur CPU or any other component becom sub-zero in temps. BUt then again, like i said, it costs a BUNDLE for it.

Not anymore, ocz is coming out with a whole vapo kit for about 300 bucks, and it looks really good too. Btw, for most vapo chilled procs load is about -60c or so.

Not anymore, ocz is coming out with a whole vapo kit for about 300 bucks, and it looks really good too. Btw, for most vapo chilled procs load is about -60c or so.

Well, i dunno much about vapochill, i just read this wierd article from Maximum PC magazine while i was in Barnes and Nobles. That's what it said after they OCed a Pentium EE 3.73ghz CPU to 5.04ghz, that it idled at -40C and was at load at 0C. Anyways, cool, OCZ is coming out with a vapo chill for 300, wow that's cheap. I'm prob not gonna buy it, i'm not that hardcore about overclocking. Cause with 300 bucks i could buy a better CPU by itself.

well i have 6600's and the core clock slowdown is 145 degreez celciuies {excuse my spelling} according to nvidias control panel so im sure ur fine u can also have it give u a warning when its about to explode. i have 2 for sli and overclocked pretty decently by 80 mhz. my cards ran in the mid 50's on idle and low to mid 60's on load. all i did was put a 120 mm fan to blow on them now i idle mid 40's load int he low 50's. i also have the benefit of having a computer case wit a vent instead of the window on the side thank the lord for that. i use to have a antec lanboy and put 2 thermaltake fans in and they kept everything really low cpu and harddrive were in the 20's and the gpu was mid 30's low 40's boy where those the days. my gigabye case has some real slow spinning 120mms =\ heres a link to the thermaltake fans

What do u mean by 'vent' instead of window. Is this 'vent' just a fan mounting/fan in the side?

hmmmm wat im tryen to say is that instead of an actual window it is a ventalated cover wit small holes in it so that air can come thru but nothen else it traps a lot of dust.
