is the Ti500 compatible

hi, my spare comps running a 1.2 athlon and a ti 500 i know its not much but i thought id install bf 2 on it any way for me landlords son..

problem im getting is a crash striaght after i double click the start icon load screen comes up for a second resolution flickers then it completly exits out i got the same error when i had deamon tools installed even with the ligitimate disk but on my spare comp im using the proper disk and ive removed any virtual device programs

so i can only hazard a guess at it being the graphics card, has any one had a similar problem obviously id like to get it going if any one knows a way, if im asking to much of it lol ill just leave it

If its a Gforce 3 TI 500 then its not going to work. Never. Ever. Dont even try.
The CPU (Thunderbird ?) is to slow for BF2 too.

if its like below a ATI 9200 or a Geforce 5700 then don't even try to make it play teh game

geforce 4 can be tweaked to run bf2

but geforce 3 cant to run bf2 youll need a whole new pc

GF3 lacks pixel and vertex shaders version 1.4. Nvidia opted with 1.3 shaders back in the day.

Short answer is no, the game wont run.

Oddly enough, a 8500 (which is comparable) can run the game, though not very well. Thank ATI's inclusion of up-to-date vertex and pixel shaders for that.
