Inky, are you by toronto? If you are, try canada computer for parts. The customer service is miserable, and unless you go to the mississauga location, half of them barely speak english, but you can build a PC for dirty cheap. They also have some decent pre made PCs. If you know how to build your own PC, I'd avoid Dell like the plague. The customer service isn't that bad, neither is the warranty, but I have nothing but trouble from my girlfriend's dell. It literally runs bf2 worse than my PC, and she has a similar pc with better specs.

Also, 1.5 CPU with that much ram and a video card like that will bottleneck the video card anyways. 2.5 AMD chips are dirt cheap. Less than a hundred bucks if I am not mistaken.

Inky, around where do you live, or you can access. It may make it alot easier to help you on locating a parts store with some reputation :)

Hey i'll keep it short. You should pm me & ill send you everything you need and don't need to know about this. For way less than 2k you can set yourself up proper.
And as for the online buying, have you tried a local action site? -------> http://vancouver.craigslist.org/ You said you're canadian and there are like 20 Craiglist sites regional to Canada, so I chose Vancouver for you but Choose the one thats closest to you from the main page. Local auction sites are nice because 99% of the time you are physically meeting up in person with the seller/buyer and always trading cash for item.

Heh, lots of replies. Well, to the "hijackers": doesn't bother me if you wana argue. I've done that to enough threads so I don't care. I did consider Dell once, because my friend has two Dells and they work nicely however from what I've read on the internet and what an employee at London Drugs said, Dells aren't very good.

@Laike & Max_Cavalera: Thank you both for the help and noticing I live in Canada, lol. I probably should've mentioned that I live in Calgary first as well, sorry 'bout that. I'll look into what both of you said as soon as I'm done here. Buying locally seems like a better idea, I might do that if I just get lazy :P.
