    For winxp, just click shutdown, and then click sleep. Or hold down the shift key and the sleep button will change to hibernation.

                If your computer is just sitting there with its fans wirring, nobody on it, then it becomes a crappy air filter take'n the dust and pet hair out of the air. Turn it off.
