ok I am getting really frusterated cause now my dad is saying I am just going to buy a new cpu
sorry for everyone who has helped me with the vid cards and that (I am very sorry for wasting your time)

but so now I have to get a new comp from my local store

To pick up where QuickSilv3r47 left off, the first card you linked is by far the superior of the three, the X800GTO 256MB (PCI-E X16).

Do consider getting a total of 2 gigs of RAM now while it's cheap but certianly not less than 1 gig.

Like he said, reusing many of your current parts is recommended. The only requirement for moving to a new PCIe system is the motherboard and video card. The rest is the same. That means you can reuse your optical drives, HDDs, sound card (or onboard sound chip from the new mobo),

This might be a good time to get that great new mouse you've been wanting as well. :)

my dad wants me to give it to my brother for like 250$
so I need a complete set of everything

I only need at most 100gb hard drive
cd drive(burning)
dvd drive(burning)
all the cables for it
and a case to hold everything in I want a case under 100$(as long as it works)
(oh and I also saw the 6600Gt for 159.95 should I get that or the 800gto?)
but if people could add on to what has already been put up there that would be great

case: gives you rispekt from your buddies, FRONT BLUE LED / SIDE WINDOW / 2 x FANS / 1 x LED FAN (you need fans if you wanna overclock someday: http://www.computeravenue.ca/product...txtProdID=1278

processor: (you could go for 3200+ but i suggest you to read some good overclocking guide and overclock the processor (its easier than you would think!) http://www.computeravenue.ca/product...txtProdID=2306

video card: 6600 GT, overclocks damn nicely and overclocking a video card is DAMN easy even for a total noob. just read some guide :) remember to buy pci-e graphics card, not AGP one as its not supported by the mobos we want you to have :)

choose the hard disks etc you want by yourself :p remember that and audio card is not really needed if you dont have ghettoblasta boom box speakers. the Asus A8N-E mobo has integrated sound sh!ts on it

when you buy the burning dvd drive youll get all the cables you need. same with psu, motherboard and the case. with the motherboard comes a manual and it tells you where to put every cable :) i remember when i put together my first comp. thought it would be like damn hard, but it wasnt.
