You will probably see some of the "flash-drive" technology used in motherboards, not sure where they will put it, hard-drive side or processor side, but eventually you will see it.

It will be the same kind of ram, but ideally you will want to replace it. Current DDR2 is shipping at DDR2-400 and DDR2-533 with some overclocker DDR2-667 modules. AM2 will use DDR2-800 and DDR2-667 as a fallback speed. (this is going off the best info we have at this point in time. Simple answer is it will probably work, but you wont want to use it.)

DDR667 will work with AM2, but it will be about equal to socket 939 performance. You'll need DDR800 to show an improvement over the current socket.
