BFG WaterCooled 6800 ULTRA

I recieved a BFG WaterCooled 6800 ULTRA as a birthday present and it requires watercooling but the only problem is that i dont have a watercooled system so i cant use it. Is it possible to replace the waterblock with a fan so i can use it on my computer? Would it overheat or something? PLEASE help me.

yes, you would be able to put a fan on it, I would suggest a Zalman zf700 or an acrtic silver cooler. Might have to lower clock speeds a little, but I think (maybe) that the watercooled comes at the same speeds as the normal one.

You mean arctic silencer cooler. Arctic silver doesn't make hardware.

Which one do you think is better because my local computer store sells the Zalman zf700 for $40 and newegg.com sells the Arctic Cooler for $35. I dont know which one to get so please help me out.

as for the price, Im not sure because they dont sell them new anymore but it was around 400-600 I belive. on ebay: anywhere from 150-300.

the coolers you can get are these (the ones mentioned, both work very good though I belive the arctic one is a little better):

what are the clock speeds on it, do you know, because just incase they are higher than regular ultra clocks you may want to clock it down at first.

I run a 6800 Ultra with a Zalman installed, great setup, and the card stays very cool...
