okay so tax return is coming up and i want a another 512 stick to go up to 1.5 gigs i have 2 512 sticks of supertalent ram as of now and i was wondering what you hav to do to put in new ram like do i just stick it in or do i have to go inot bios. also i probably wont be getting the same brand and my ram is pc 3200 so do i just get any 512 stick that is pc3200?thanx

I'd suggest selling what you have and getting 2x1GB.

But to answer your question you can just stick it in, and as long as you don't have to adjust the latencies you will be fine.

It would be worth it, with 3 sticks you lose dual channel and drop to 2T.

ive never even seen super talent ram before i got my computer well i bought the mother board preloaded with cpu and ram and i did everything else but like i said supertalent isnt even on newegg idk how much its even worth

The gains you will see from an extra 512MB will be negated when you lose dual channel and go from 1T>2T. Either buy 2X1GB of RAM or don't get anything at all.

He might lose a little speed from the change, but even 2t non-dual channel will load up BF2 data faster than a pagefile.

An extra 512MB will not make up for dropping to 2T and losing dual channel. Your overall performance will drop.

Like I said bud, your wrong. How much performance diffrence you think it makes? At MOST it's 5%, usually it's more like 3%. But whatever, believe what you want to...
