PSU: coolermaster or TAGAN ??

im thinking of getting a new psu because im getting sick of needing to check if my powersupply can handle this or that... so which one they're both the same price.. coolermaster 550 watt real power or a tagan 2 series 480 watt

I can only draw on personal experience. After a 6600GT made my PSU and another go pop, I bought high quality PSU, the Tagan TG420-U01 420w. I've a reasonably thirsty 6800GT, a couple of case fans, half a dozen USB peripherals etc. The PSU doesn't miss a beat and I'd buy another Tagan.
