x850xt pe or XFX 7800 GT

Hi,

can anyone help me with this? I've got a decision to make. Now I have a P4 3.0Ghz and a x850xt pe to play BF2 but I can sell my system to a friend and so I'm planning to upgrade to an AMD64 3700+ SanDiego core. Should I stick with my x850xt pe or should I sell it too because I can get a XFX Geforce 7800 GT for the same price.
Will a 7800 GT make difference in playing BF2 then a x850xt pe

Get an EVGA 7800 GT, it costs less, better clock speeds, and a lifetime warrenty

Actually not better clock speeds, but more memory(not much), more pipelines, and SM3. The 7800 is a better card, but for the price it makes it a great card. Seriously- If you are going to get a new set-up, wait untill the 1900/7900 are well distributed, for less money.

i have a XFX 7800gtx atm and it works like a charm,
i would recomened anyone buying it because its the best card i have ever had

Um, stick with the X850, if u ALREADY HAVE it, then stick with it. If ur friend is willing to pay say, another 200 bucks to have the X850XT, then buy the 7800GT, otherwise, save money and stick with the X850XT so u can buy a even better card later.

Don't listen to these people who aren't analizing the issue. If you keep your X850 XT that means you will have to buy a crappy AGP 939 motherboard. Since you are switching platforms you should definetly get a PCIexpress motherboard and a new PCIex video card also.

OH, dang, i shoulda caught that. Ya, get a PCIe card. THen u don't have to get a nf3 or other brand equivelent chipset for ur mobo.

I'd suggest going with an eVGA over XFX if you have a choice... very nice warranty and generally overclocks a tiny bit better
