formating trouble?

can some one please help me?,every time i try to format my local disk it says this:



ive closed everything and it still says that

Let me guess, trying to format the Windows partition from with in Windows. Here's a hint, can't be done. You need to boot from the Windows cd to be able to format and (re)install Windows.

i see,um how do i do that? i have the windows cd but it doesnt say anything about booting the hard drive

Complete with words and pictures (just ignore the upgrade bits, unless your copy is an upgrade cd).

dude, if you don't know what your doing, you can really F things up and end up extremely unhappy....do some research first, find drivers you might need, back ANYTHING important onto a cd, trust me, its worth it...
