    Arctic Cooling Accelero X1?

    review:

does anyone have this cooling solution for their graphics card and ive heard only good reviews of it

so would you reccomend this cooling solution for my 7800gt im hoping to take it up some MHZ on memory and core (ive not tried higher than 480/1100 on stock cooling it still runs pritty cool 39 idle and around 55 under load)

i heard the zalman VGA coolers were good but i would have to buy ramsinks too which are way overpriced just for a bit of plastic

Ramsinks aren't plastic. What are you thinking?

        No they aren't.

These eight little pieces of aluminium are designed for video card RAM chips, they help to dissipate the heat generated by the RAM. They are extremely light and offer excellent heat transfer properties.

Why would you think they would use plastic? No where on there does it say plastic, it actually says the oppisite.

All zalman VF-700s come with aluminium heatsinks already:
          Here is the product:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118117
And if u look at the screen viewer u see this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Showim...OOLER+-+Retail
That means u can buy the Zalman without having to buy ramsinks, cause they already come with them, anyways, if u can wait a bit longer, the VF-900CU is coming out, this only takes up one extra slot, and it has 2 heatpipes.

lol, plastic heatsinks. Plastic insulates so would have the opposite effect and heat your card up...

i want heatsinks for my gpu;'s too, but unless i buy a mobo with PCIexpress slots separated by TWO instead of ONE like mine, it wont fit. it this one one slot or two slot? and, is it as good as the silencer? i also need money... i probly lost my allowance for a million years, and any presents for any holidays = gone.

It blows all the air to the mobo? i dont know if thats good, the Silencer 5 pushes it out the case

whats the best way to remove the thermal grease from the memory and core?

yeah should the chips be like totally clean or can there be a bit of residu of the old thermal grease ?

Um, u NEED thermal grease on the GPU, the memory doesn't have it on most graphics cards, so nothing needed there i don't think (don't quote me on this). All heatsinks should COME with new thermal grease, wipe the old thermal grease of and then spread the new one on. Also, if u want GOOD thermal grease, get arctic Silver 5, it is proven to lower ur temps by around 2C, and it only costs around 5-10 bucks.

They should be totally clean, then you need to re-apply the thermal paste, then apply the heatsink.

For cleaning the old paste off I highly reccomend this

I'm sure you can find someone in the Netherlands that sells it.
