Ok, first of all, use puncuation. A period or comma once in a while makes it much easier for us to read and help. What is your budget?

Normally this would be a simple newegg job, but I need an austrailian website. Anybody got any suggestions?

I have an X2 and never had problems running BF2, well besides all of the normal ones. There are a couple of different tips to help prevent any type of conflict, so I wouldn't let that persuade you away from a good chip.

all new system but im thinkin just gettin a 6800gt again i was happy with that card but in PCI-E this time round, would that be ok??? only until i can afford a much newer card, still unclear on what type of processor to go with but, nothin to expensive but X2 would be nice i guess

Spend a few more bucks and get eVGA's 7800 Gt, its cheeper and has better clock speeds, for around 300 US

                          :)

Those parts should be equivalently priced and available Australia wide.

Alright, this is just a rough outline, hopefully someone here can improve it:
                            Note:All prices are AU

                            Mobo:$179

                            CPU: $315

                            Ram:$179

                            Graphics:$479

                            HD:$155

                            PSU:$148

                            DVD-RW DL:$59

                            Case:$215

The total is $1729, which is a little over your budget, but overall it should be a nice comp.
