This will be the first PC ive ever put together, How well do you think it will run? Do you see any problems or concerns i should have? What would you change and why? The Total Is $1514.79 Is there a way to cut cost and keep the Performance?

I'd go for an X2 processor... probably the 3800+, and maybe save some money by getting the N516 version of that eVGA card. It should easily oC to the N517. Honestly I think they both have copper heatsinks and the only difference is the factory OC they come at.
And maybe (just maybe) get an X-Fi XtremeMusic... I really like mine with a 5.1 setup. But, lots of people seem to have problems with it. And I can't say I can compare it to the Audigy, as I haven't heard that one, but I still really like mine.

Processor is fine.
RAM is fine.
Mobo is fine.
Nice case, thats your choice, but fine to me.
Good GFX card thats fine.
Soundcard should be fine, but I'd wait for another member to reply on that.
Nice choice of HD, Raptors are the best for gaming.
Power supply is fine.

You could cut some of the stuff on that list, for a start a 600W powersupply should do fine, saving you money.

The RAM you have chosen is very good, expensive too, you could choose 2GB of RAM but a cheaper type, different make or series of the Corsair, but im only saying that because your wanting to save money.

Theres other cases out there which are cheaper, that one is nice though but again ^.

Anyway, just a suggestion but to save more money you could keep your 6800 card, that I see from your sig and put that in your computer, saving you on a GFX card, then at a later date buy a more updated card.

The 7900 series comes out in a month or 2 so you could wait till then, and the 7800 series will drop in price, your decision though, I haven't went into alot of detail at all just put in a few suggestions etc, haven't got time right now to type a full essay on what to do and what not to do.

Get a 7200RPM HD instead of a raptor, but make sure it has a 16mb cache. You will see performance similar to a Raptor and you can get large amounts of storage, for a cheaper price.

Take the price difference of the harddisks and make sure you get 2GB of RAM.

^I have a 250GB HD7200RPM, only using 42GB, but yeah thats true what he says, its not a bang on component that you need.

Thanks for the Help, Which Processor would you go with? The Athlon 64 4000 for 334.00 or the Athlon 64x2 3800 Manchester for $296.00...Also that hard drive is $103.00 i can find one cheaper @7200rpm with a 16mb cache

Get the dual core. The 3800+ is also a great overclocker from what i hear (FX-60 speeds on air)

if the drive is that cheap then go ahead and get it if you want. I'd still make sure you get 2GB of RAM.

Go dual core, you save some money and can easily go to at least 2.4ghz.
