When i put BF2 into my CD-RW it will not run. Ive tried start run browse to make the cd run and nothing happens. I cleaned the disc, i cleaned the cd drive itself and nothing happens. Is it time for a new CD-RW? Its an internal 48X32X48 max speed cd-rw. Only way i can make games run is if i run it on my DVD drive.

Re: CD-RW not reading discs
Have you tried updating the firmware for your drive?
This often helps solve problems like you described. Check your manufacturers website for details. -

Re: CD-RW not reading discs
Do you have any games that rely on Star Force for disk protection?
Right-click on My Computer, select Properties and the Hardware tab. Enter the device manager:
In the menu above select View and select Show Hidden Devices:
If you have Staforce, it will be listed under the Non-plug and play drivers tree:
If it is there, that could be your problem. There are supposedly issues with it ruining disk drives. Read here for more info .... http://www.glop.org/starforce/Comment
