    Another 256 GTX or a X1900XTX?

As the new 7900GTX will be coming out in march the other nVIDIA cards will probably go down. I've already seen the Leadtek GTX go down £40. This made me think about buying another GTX. But I saw the XTX and realised it would be cheaper.

So, what would give me better results, another GTX in SLi or an X1900XTX and sell my GTX? Getting the XTX would be cheaper as I would sell my GTX and buy an XTX for £340 (the cheapest I've seen). But I'd have thought that the dual GTXs would be better right? I can get a GTX for £270.

Good. 2 GTXs sounds nicer than 1 XTX :p

Also, would you say the price would dip in march?

if you mean a GTX 512, definitely 2.

If you mean GTX 256......id probably still get 2.

Two gpu's compared to one. Not so hard to choose.

Another GTX would be nice, anyways, I'm pretty sure that the X1900XTX beats two GTX256's in SLi, but then again, it's a TINY difference, plus, teh GTX 256 is MUCH cheaper than buying a whole new X1900XTX.

Just get another one, should be best bang for your buck.

                Doesn't the x1900xtx beat out SLi'd 7800 GTX's? FOr a whole lot cheaper?

No, I think it's pretty much a tie, plus he already has a gtx.

actually, I would go with the XTX, same price about, and performs very very good. I mean, two cards would be nice, but I like the 512mb buffer, it will help in the future compard to 256.
But two GTX's is nice ^_^

As some of you think it may tie what I'll do is post a link that compares them so we can all see which is better :p

One XTX is cheaper than 2 GTXs. I payed around £350 for my GTX. £350 + £270 = £620 for the GTXs. £350 - around £150 (What GTXs are going for on ebay) = £200. £200 + £340 = £540. Thats £80 less for the XTX. So if 1 XTX is better I'll get the XTX but if the GTXs are better I'll get another. Also, it's not always guaranteed you'll sell the GTX. But I can put a reserve....

Well, he ALREADY spent money on ONE GTX 256mb, and i don't think u could return a vid card and get a FULL refund if u have used it without any problems. Anyways, if u REALLY wanna be future proof, i guess u could get a XTX and when the crossfire system becomes stable and crossfire mobos drop in price, u could buy a X1900crossfire and pwn in graphics. But that's kinda pricey if u get what i mean.
