    New Ram

I was planning on upgrading from 1gb to 2gb of memory. Currently i have 2x512 XMS ram on 2-3-3-6. I want to know if i should
    a) sell my friend my 1 gig for $100 and buy 2x1gb
    or
    b) buy another $100 2x512 memory.
    also, would i notice a big difference between a 2-3-3-6 and a 3-3-3-8?
I think 3-3-3-8 is worse because it is typically $40 cheaper.

I hate to say this, but when it comes to ram timings, I dont know if higher numbers or lower is faster and better. But I would get the two more 512 2-3-3-6 for dual channel. thats exactly what I have.

Sell your 2x512MB and go with 2x1GB, and no there won't be a huge diffrence between those timings. Lower timings are generally better though.

You have 4x512mb? Thats why you get a BSOD at 208mhz.

Not a huge difference? are we talking like 1-3 fps or 3-10?
also, would slightly higher numbers mean slower apllications in general or not a noticable difference?

            Personally I'd sell your 2 x 512, and buy 2 x 1Gb. Are you gonna be overclocking?

1-3 FPS if any. I doubt it would affect FPS at all. Lower timings will usually result in marginally higher benchmark scores, but no noticable diffrence in day to day stuff.
