Guys im having some problems with my PC at the moment and thought one of you experts could help me out....

Firstly, after i press Login at the login screen, the "connecting to account server" box comes up and stays there for minutes!!! It never used to take so long!

Secondly, and more importantly, whenever i try to restart or shutdown, it just stays on the desktop, nothing happens, and i have to turn the PC off by holding down its power button for 5 seconds. ??????

I have Norton and 2 different spyware programs...

Any ideas guys?
Any help would be much appreciated!

If it's possible for you to try running BF2 without Norton & Antispyware then try it.

If these need to be on because you've been infected and there protecting your system then obviously you carn't, but Norton is pants tbh.

I work in tech support, and it's always Norton that causes the majority if install problems etc. As you know BF2 is resource hungry so running Antivirus and Antispyware in the background won't help and are probably the cause of your problems.

I couldn't take Norton and its crap anymore.. I removed it from my machine. I use the free stuff on the web about once a week just to check my system and that works fine so far.

norton had systematically taken over my pc and tried to assimilate me. In addition, it hit on my wife and stole my car.

norton is worthless.

Norton is teh debul. I have removed Norton (paid for & up-to-date) from 2 computers this past month and both were infected with 4 or 5 different viruses just sitting ther under Nortons nose. GET RID OF NORTON. Both of those comps I put free AVG http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5 on and it cleaned them right up.

wtf is wrong with you people..i have never used and/or needed any type of anti-virus program..do you guys not know how to surf the web???? i've never had any problem with spyware-virus-trojans-hacking-anything....what do you people do..just click on the free porn links on everything cause it says free???
